Job Description
Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist
Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL 33334
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Some Overtime Possible)
Position Summary:
The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for processing vendor invoices, reconciling statements, and ensuring compliance with internal controls. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong problem-solving skills to interact with vendors and internal teams. The ideal candidate will be experienced in NetSuite and accounts payable functions.
Responsibilities:

Review, audit, and enter vendor invoices into NetSuite.

Perform a 3-way match: PO to receiving to invoice.

Prepare and upload large AR data files into NetSuite.

Interact with vendors, internal teams, and external customers to resolve issues.

Reconcile vendor statements.

Conduct audits and compliance reviews of corporate credit card activity.

Address all vendor inquiries in a timely manner.

Reconcile invoices with weekly wire transfers.

Manage the void check process.

Process check printing or ACH transactions.

Assist with accounts receivable through AR vs AP reconciliations.

Execute internal controls related to assigned responsibilities.

Print accounts payable reports and maintain accurate filing.

Ensure completion of work to meet departmental weekly and monthly deadlines.

Provide coaching and assistance to internal customers on AP-related issues.

Maintain high levels of confidentiality and awareness in all tasks.

Handle special projects as requested by management.

Prepare, maintain, and report 1099 records.

Assist with additional projects as needed.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:

Previous experience in accounts payable or a related financial role.

Proficiency in NetSuite or similar accounting software.

Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

High attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to work independently and within a team.
