Job Summary
The accounting clerk is responsible for the timely, accurate and ethical performance of the account's payable functions per company guidelines and accepted accounting principles.

Duties

• Match all purchase orders and receiving documentation to vendors invoices.
• Secure internal invoice approvals as necessary.
• Reconcile any A/P discrepancies, internal and external.
• Enter all invoices into company computer system.
• Maintain accurate files for open and paid invoices.
• Daily check incoming emails and respond accordingly.
• Keep accounting manager informed of all A/P issues
• Assist with A/R function when necessary
• Understand and comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP'S) and food safety regulations and standard operating procedures (SOP'S)
• Attend training sessions as required.

Skills

• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Strong understanding of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate data entry and record keeping.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients and internal teams regarding financial matters.
• Experience in telemarketing or financial services is a plus but not required.
• Familiarity with technical accounting concepts will be beneficial for this role.
