**Job Title:** Temporary Claims Adjuster

**Job Description:**

We are  seeming a skilled and motivated Temporary Claims Adjuster to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in assisting one of the city's Risk Management Department in the processing and evaluation of claims. This is a temporary position that offers an opportunity to gain valuable experience working with a local government organization.

**Responsibilities:**

- Review and investigate insurance claims filed against the city.
- Collect and analyze documentation, statements, and evidence related to claims.
- Assess and evaluate claim validity and determine liability.
- Collaborate with legal and financial teams to ensure accurate processing of claims.
- Maintain records, update databases, and prepare reports.
- Communicate with claimants, witnesses, and relevant parties to gather information.
- Participate in settlement negotiations and litigation support, if necessary.
- Stay up-to-date with city policies, regulations, and industry best practices.

Qualifications:**

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
- Prior experience in claims adjustment or a related field is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in using relevant software and databases.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Knowledge of local government policies and regulations (preferred).
