PRESS MACHINE OPERATOR
Job Description
The Press Machine Operator is responsible for the operation of a high-speed machine. The Machine Operator is also responsible for the overall quality and efficiency of the machine.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Responsible for ensuring that the machine runs efficiently while producing a product that meets quality standards.
Job responsibility includes running continuous forms in up to 8 colors that generally finish sheets.
The pressman's responsibility includes but is not limited to pulling work tickets and entering production into a computer, operating all facets of the printing press from splicer to rewinder, setting, adjusting and replacing rollers, setting ink, pinholes and perfs, register, and water, performing basic maintenance and upkeep, and more.
Accurately interpret work orders and other instructions required by supervision.
Able to accurately complete daily production report, including downtime log.
The ability to demonstrate leadership skills on a regular basis.
Keep the work area clean and organized while following the lean initiatives.
Other assigned tasks.

Education/Experience:
3-5 years experience in offset or flexo printing machines.
Language Ability:
Ability to speak, read and understand English and Spanish. Ability to communicate effectively with managers and employees.
Math Ability:
Ability to add, subtracts, multiply and divide in standard and metric units.
Computer Skills:
Basic Computer
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to follow safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment in order to work near moving mechanical parts.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, although work in high noise areas may be required.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that are required of an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
